How can I help?

Unprecedented times where nothing is as it was. We all have different roles and different skills and I honestly believe that supporting each other is the only way forward. ‘I’m retired ( well sort of) and will be spending a lot of time with at least 2 of my grandchildren. I’ll share photos of what we have been doing as many activities will be outdoors … Continue reading How can I help?

Barnsley Live Support LimbBo Foundation

I’m a trustee for LimbBo foundation – you can see all about our work here – We support children like my grandson #TommyD who were born with a limb difference. Lose control in a positive way

I’m a bit of a control freak when it comes to my photography. I shoot in Manual as I like to set my own, shutter speed, aperture and ISO. I have my ‘go to’ editing apps and programs, different lenses for different situations and whilst I’m happy with the results on the whole I decided this morning to abandon control. I’m fortunate to be returning … Continue reading Lose control in a positive way

( I actually never … Continue reading When your plans have ideas of their own…

My pots are a random collection of old teapots, jugs, battered pots from previous years. My grandchildren love it – it’s full of snails, caterpillars and butterflies. They have their own magnifying glasses, binoculars (or goggles as LJ … Continue reading My garden is my sanctuary

Mausoleum of the Giants

If there’s one thing we do well in this country – it’s queuing! Wednesday was a chilly April day but that didn’t stop my friend and I queuing for 3 hours in sunshine, rain, hail and even some snow to see the exhibition ‘The Mausoleum of the Giants’ in Sheffield.  Was it worth it? Hell yes, it was amazing but the actual anticipation and 3 … Continue reading Mausoleum of the Giants

A- Z challenge

Here’s a challenge for you photography enthusiasts out there who love nature and have hundreds of images on their hard drives or phones. Can you create an A-Z collage of your photos? This took me a while and I had to ‘stretch the naming’ (ie cheat) in a couple of places, latin names suddenly became necessary! Some letters were easy – S for instance Snail, … Continue reading A- Z challenge
